Spark! Literary Magazine

Fourth graders in Valley View School are working hard to create a literary magazine. Having designed submission requests and presented requirements for different categories to all fourth graders, the ten editors are delighted with the abundance of this year’s entries. So far, we have short stories, essays, coloring pages, word jumbles, and matching activities in both English and Spanish. In June, we plan to distribute copies of our school magazine to students and staff members. We hope that younger students will be inspired by the final product, a result of the efforts by both editors and contributors. We also hope that fourth graders themselves will enjoy the wonderful sense of pride which comes from having created a magazine that will challenge, inform, and give pleasure to others. They should leave Valley View School knowing that they have made a significant contribution to our school community. We would appreciate an LTEF grant that would fund printing costs so that each student can own a lasting copy of Spark! The Magazine that Illuminates Creative Minds.
